There are a number of alphabet worksheets that can be used for children with developmental disabilities. These workbooks are used by professionals to help children develop the skills necessary for basic literacy and spelling. The first five lessons in these worksheets, however, are for reading purposes only and the workbooks should not be used as a substitute for formal schooling.

Cursive Alphabet Worksheets

The alphabet worksheets consist of five sections – the first four lessons in the first section, which are letters A to G. In these lessons, children are encouraged to practice reading words in the correct order using only letters in their alphabet. For example, if you are reading a word like “bath,” you would complete this word using letter A through to the letter Z. Once you have completed a word and are ready to move onto the next lesson, you would complete this lesson using the letter Z.

The second part of the alphabet worksheets includes lessons in letter E through J. Here, you would complete each word by using the letter E, followed by the letter J. If you were to move onto the next lesson, for example, letter J, you would complete the word as well. Once you have finished letters E through J, you would complete the lesson using letter I through L.

The third section of the worksheet consists of lessons in letter K through N. Again, you would complete each word using letter K, followed by the letter N. When it comes to moving onto the next lesson, for example, letter N, you would complete the word. If you were unable to understand the lesson, you would be able to repeat it until you have mastered it. Then, you would move onto the next letter in the set, letter O.
